We are a friendly club who meet in Appledore a fishing village on the River Torridge in North Devon. Visitors are sure of a warm welcome. We don’t meet in August or December but sometimes we hold a workshop at the beginning of December.

Our 11-month programme features 8 meetings where we have demonstrators; we also hold a Spring show in April or May and a Christmas Show in December where members do competitive work judged by an Area or National judge. Our AGM in October is followed by a Harvest supper and auction. Visitors (£5) are always welcome.

We are a small and friendly club (around 35 members). Our programme alternates between Demonstrations and Workshops but the emphasis is always on fun and relaxed. We have a Sales table stocked with flower arranging sundries. At the end of the evening there is tea and home-made cake. Visitors (£6) are always very welcome.

Ottery St. Mary Flower Club was founded in 1969 so we have been around a long time! As is probably the case with so many Clubs, the Ottery members range from complete beginners to those who have won awards at Devon County Show, arranged flowers at Exeter Cathedral and some who regularly provide brides with their wedding flowers. The Club is also proud to support Ottery St. Mary Help Scheme by donating floral table centres for their monthly Memory Café, bringing pleasure to all those who attend. We really are a friendly bunch (excuse the pun!) and new members and visitors are always welcome.
